Warren's 6mo Appointment

So Warren had his 6mo appointment on Thursday. Strangely enough, he is still the exact same weight he was at his 5mo appointment but he has grown a quarter of an inch. He is still in the 75th percentile for his weight and 90th percentile for his height.

I asked the doctor to take a look in his mouth because I thought his gums were changing. She looked and immediately said she could see two teeth at the bottom but they have not cut yet.

Physically, the doctor commented he is very strong for his age. He was showing off, sitting up unsupported by his hands. She said that is something that a 9mo old can do, not necessarily a 6mo old. Now, for pictures of the boy:

That was him after his shots. He was not a happy camper.

We took him to a restaurant and let him sit up in the high chair.

About Warren

So let's recap...

-On Feb. 6, Warren was 18lb 10oz and 27.5" long
-He can roll from back to stomach and stomach to back, both with ease.
-He uses rolling as his primary method of transportation, and can pivot while on his stomach so he goes the direction he wants.
-He pulled the cable cord off from against the wall and chews on it.
-He has started to laugh.
-He can sit up on his own

He is sucking on a feeder. You put food inside of it and he can chew/get the juices without choking on any pieces. He was eating grapes.

Him sitting on the living room floor.

He wants to hold his own bottle so I bought him one that he can grip. It is still a work in progress.

He fell asleep in the car on the way home from our Moms Group meet up.

This was him before the meet up, it was the beginning of the raining/storms that hit California so I thought this was a good time to bring out this outfit.

We found a Place!

We found out on Monday that we got the place we applied for! We signed the lease the next day. The place is in Lawndale, less than 10 minutes to the beach. It has a small front yard/back yard and a garage for storage which excites me because I am tired of seeing these strollers in the house. Of course Warren is doing well, see photos below.

This one makes me laugh.

He rolled away. Again. And got stuck up against the wall. Again.

Him and his sunglasses.

I love chunky baby thighs.

We put his pants on his head because we can.

I don't remember if this one made the previous post but I like the way the sun hit his face.

Moving on Up

Hello Everyone,

As you all know, Ray got a job so we are moving back to LA. Yay! I spend most of my time online looking for places to live and my mom is out there hustling in the streets looking for places as well. Warren has learned to roll from back to stomach and stomach to back; only one direction but it is his current mode of transportation.

I left him in the middle of the living room floor and came back to him under the couch chewing on my important paperwork.

Ray and Warren at the mall.

Sleep at my Grandma's house.

I was trying to replicate one of the sensory activities done at Out of the Box. I needed more pasta.

I left him in the middle of the living room floor and came back to find him well on his way to the hallway.

Warren at the doctor's office. He had two shots that day and only cried for one. Such a big boy.

Just a good one of him smiling.

Before We Leave

Today I have my mom's group meetup. We meet every Wednesday at Panera, it's not only nice to get out of the house, but to eat a proper meal AND talk to other adults.

This is him sleeping at the moment

We are trying to wean him off of the swaddle. At the moment, I have no patience for the one arm out, the two arms out, etc so I bought him the magic sleep suit. It works well enough.

Him and his piano

We were at Target yesterday and he was tired of sitting in the stroller so I let him stand for a bit

Solid Foods

So Warren has been introduced to solid foods. Per the pediatrician's instructions, we introduce something new every 2-3 days. So far he has had prunes, green beans, sweet potatoes, bananas, and squash. We still have the container of peas we have yet to introduce. He liked them all well enough but I think he especially likes having these things mixed into his oatmeal.

We found out that he has eczema so no more Johnson & Johnson products for him; we now have to use Cetaphil. I also took him to the doctor today and found out he has bronchiolitis. I had to get him the nebulizer but the good news is after they did one of the treatments in the office he was doing so much better. He is in good spirits, not really "acting sick" so that's a plus. Here are some pictures.... I promise to get better about updating this thing, I finally got this blog and my phone to sync up so I can put pictures on here easily.

For fun, I tried to smash Warren into his coming home outfit. As you can tell, it's a little tight.
