Car Seat Troubles.

Warren has never been comforted by the car ride, in fact he hates car rides with a passion. I was staring at him the other day when I had an epiphany: he hates his car seat. With a passion. I personally think it's the recline that he dislikes so because he enjoys sitting up. I went and bought him a convertible car seat, and for once he did not instantly scream when we sat him in it. Now he needs another stroller because you cannot take the convertible car seat out of the car and I am not comfortable with him facing outwards, which is what his current stroller does.

Here is a picture of him not screaming in his car seat.

Him wearing one of the outfits my mom bought him. The socks are my favorite part. They look like hi-tops.

Warren and his dad during tummy time.

A couple good ones of him smiling.

I was going through his closet to gather clothes for Lexi when I came across his outfit for if he had been a girl. I could not help myself :/ I probably would have put the dress on him but he is too big. Ray and my mom thinks he looks like a boy in drag and I have to agree. For the most part, I think he looks like a baby and could pass for a girl but not in this picture. He looks like a boy with a headband on his head.

Na na na na na na na na....

BATMAN! As in, Warren was Batman for halloween. We spent the evening at my BFF's parents house. Let's see what other photos are in my phone...

This is just a clear one of his face where he is not fidgeting around which is why I like it.

He loves to "stand up." If you look, the pants he is wearing probably need to be retired because they are giving him a muffin top. He has that issue with a few pairs of pants actually. On a side note, I have no idea why some of the pictures are showing in groups of threes.

Alas, car rides are not comforting to him yet. He screams bloody murder every time. I took him on a 15 minute ride yesterday and he screamed the. entire. time. Coming and going. He must have screamed himself exhausted because when we got home he slept for almost 5 hours. The picture below, we went for a 5 minute car ride and he looks like he is actually enjoying the experience.

Sometimes, he falls asleep during the middle of a feeding while being burped.

And my current favorite, it was dark and the flash from my phone caught him off guard.

First shots

So let's recap....

At birth, Warren was 8lb 2oz and 20.75 inches long
At his two week appointment, Warren was 9lb 3oz and 21 inches long
At his six week appointment, Warren was 12lb 2 oz and 23.75 inches long

His pediatrician (such a wonderful woman) said that he was in the 75th percentile for his weight and 90th percentile for his height. My mom kept saying how long he had gotten but I guess I did not really notice. He does have a chest x-ray as well as a scan to see the development of his trachea/larynx because of his breathing. They also need to measure his oxygen saturation; she said that he would not be growing as wonderfully as he has been if he had issues with oxygen saturation but she is doing so for safe measure. I know this is something they did when he was in NICU so I am not too worried but it does suck because he is my baby boy :/

Now for pictures...

We went to the Citadel outlets and I saw this hat at The Children's Place and could not resist. His Nana is holding him.

Warren's first selfie.

This is him hours after his first shots. At present he is not a happy camper and just wants to sleep or be held. Poor guy, he did really well during his exam.

He has been smiling for about a week but this was the first time I could actually capture it on camera.

This one, he was off to Nana's house while Ray and me went to dinner and a movie.

They see me rollin', they hatin'....

A couple of days ago, Warren was doing tummy time on his floor mat. Neither Ray or myself were paying attention to what he was doing but when I looked at him, he was on his back. I asked Ray did he do it or did Warren roll himself over; Ray said the baby did it. We put him on the couch to see if it whether or not it was a fluke; it was not, the boy rolled over a couple more time after that. So there you have it, at one month old he rolled himself from his stomach to his back. The link to the video is below, the video was too big for me to get it off of my phone :/

The photo below is one of my favorites from when he was about 2 weeks old.

This is him napping. This is his thing. He LOVES sleeping with his arms up next to head. If his arms are free, they always find their way up.

His signature face he makes when he is stretching out while sleeping. Notice the arm is up.

Father and son playing Saints Row.

I have never in my life seen a baby that gets as upset as he does when you try to burp him in the middle of feedings. He has a combination of moves that includes throwing his weight back, stretching his legs, crying, whining, and turning his head so that you will resume feeding him. He gets so angry, but in this shot, he calmed down long enough to give Ray this dirty look.

Another one of my current favorites, Warren during tummy time. He will pick and hold himself up in this position for an extended amount of time. My boy is advanced for his age ;)

You get bonus points if you can tell me what he is doing while making this face.

Lobster day

Doing things! Ashley and i went to Lobster fest in Redondo beach. Warren slept through it! He slept through a high school football game as well (Congrats to Ashleys brother on the win. Go Eagles). It's really not too crazy being out with a baby. We had fun at both events.

Motorcycles and motor skills

Warren's first checkup went great. He is 9 pounds now and doing great. The doctor told me that a newborn getting hiccups everyday is normal.
