Big Boy

Sorry it's been awhile. Google+ wasn't synching on my phone so all the pictures I had were outdated.

We spent the past weekend at the Strawberry festival where I realized just how much the boy can eat. He had a great time eating strawberries to his heart's content. Swimming lessons are going well, he passed his safety week test with flying colors. His instructor did mention that he is getting bored with back floating so we have to focus on that during down time in the pool. He crawls like a champ and pulls himself up on objects/stands really well. Lately, he has been getting bolder and trying to stand with no hands. As of Monday he is no longer dentally challenged and he now has a tooth. Just one. Now for some photos.

The bottom right is where the first tooth is coming in.

Him after enjoying the strawberry sample he was given.

I caught him mid wake-up.

I used to take two of the legs off of the table because it would tip when he tried to pull himself up. He loves that table.

Swim Lessons

So as you all know, Warren has been in swimming lessons since the middle of January and doing amazing. Today was the first day of him being in the advanced parent-tot class and he did great; the instructor is very happy with Warren's abilities. He will sit on the edge of the pool, hold his breath and jump off, all unassisted.

As far as milestones, he sits up unassisted perfectly and no longer wobbles when doing so. He has been rolling for weeks now but has also mastered pivoting so he can change direction. He has been working on pulling himself up and started to do so with his table. Warren tries to get into the crawling position but usually ends up falling back on his stomach.

Now for a photo dump:

He fell asleep in the car.

He loves puffs. Gets them after every meal.

We got locked out of the house about two weeks ago with nothing but the clothes on our back so we were sitting in the front yard waiting for the locksmith to rescue us. This was the first time he had ever seen a helicopter. His shirt is also soaked because he drools non-stop.

I just thought the look on his face was funny. He wasn't angry.

We've Moved!

We moved last Saturday. It was a long and tiring process, but we are happy in our new place. I will include pictures once we get boxes emptied out. Warren is doing great in the new place, he enjoys sitting on the grass in the front yard. Last night, Ray made burgers on the grill and they came out great. Too bad Warren couldn't have any :)

I had Ray throwing Warren and I was trying to capture him mid-air; these were the two best shots.

Remember this hat from Warren's newborn photo shoot? It's too small now :(

We went to the park two weeks ago with my moms group. Warren had a great time.

Warren's 6mo Appointment

So Warren had his 6mo appointment on Thursday. Strangely enough, he is still the exact same weight he was at his 5mo appointment but he has grown a quarter of an inch. He is still in the 75th percentile for his weight and 90th percentile for his height.

I asked the doctor to take a look in his mouth because I thought his gums were changing. She looked and immediately said she could see two teeth at the bottom but they have not cut yet.

Physically, the doctor commented he is very strong for his age. He was showing off, sitting up unsupported by his hands. She said that is something that a 9mo old can do, not necessarily a 6mo old. Now, for pictures of the boy:

That was him after his shots. He was not a happy camper.

We took him to a restaurant and let him sit up in the high chair.

About Warren

So let's recap...

-On Feb. 6, Warren was 18lb 10oz and 27.5" long
-He can roll from back to stomach and stomach to back, both with ease.
-He uses rolling as his primary method of transportation, and can pivot while on his stomach so he goes the direction he wants.
-He pulled the cable cord off from against the wall and chews on it.
-He has started to laugh.
-He can sit up on his own

He is sucking on a feeder. You put food inside of it and he can chew/get the juices without choking on any pieces. He was eating grapes.

Him sitting on the living room floor.

He wants to hold his own bottle so I bought him one that he can grip. It is still a work in progress.

He fell asleep in the car on the way home from our Moms Group meet up.

This was him before the meet up, it was the beginning of the raining/storms that hit California so I thought this was a good time to bring out this outfit.

We found a Place!

We found out on Monday that we got the place we applied for! We signed the lease the next day. The place is in Lawndale, less than 10 minutes to the beach. It has a small front yard/back yard and a garage for storage which excites me because I am tired of seeing these strollers in the house. Of course Warren is doing well, see photos below.

This one makes me laugh.

He rolled away. Again. And got stuck up against the wall. Again.

Him and his sunglasses.

I love chunky baby thighs.

We put his pants on his head because we can.

I don't remember if this one made the previous post but I like the way the sun hit his face.

Moving on Up

Hello Everyone,

As you all know, Ray got a job so we are moving back to LA. Yay! I spend most of my time online looking for places to live and my mom is out there hustling in the streets looking for places as well. Warren has learned to roll from back to stomach and stomach to back; only one direction but it is his current mode of transportation.

I left him in the middle of the living room floor and came back to him under the couch chewing on my important paperwork.

Ray and Warren at the mall.

Sleep at my Grandma's house.

I was trying to replicate one of the sensory activities done at Out of the Box. I needed more pasta.

I left him in the middle of the living room floor and came back to find him well on his way to the hallway.

Warren at the doctor's office. He had two shots that day and only cried for one. Such a big boy.

Just a good one of him smiling.
